TK Maxx was founded in America in 1976 by Bernard Cammarata as a competitor to rival department chain Marshalls. The concept focused on selling labelled brands at discounted prices and hosting a range of clothing, accessories and household goods. Since its inception it has grown to over 1,000 stores across the US and many more in the UK, becoming a household high street brand.
The company is semi global, with locations across America and Europe and also has an e-commerce site. Its more notable selling brands includes Versace, Hugo Boss and Vivienne Westwood.
